Privacy

swapl is built around trust. We collect the minimum we need to make swaps safe, and we never sell your data. This page summarises what we hold, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Account email and name, listing details you publish, swap proposals and messages with other members, identity-verification metadata (we don't store passport scans — our KYC partner does), and basic device + analytics signals (page, locale, viewport). That's it.

Why we collect it

To run the swap (matching, messaging, insurance), to verify you're a real person before your first acceptance, and to improve the product. We use a small set of privacy-respecting analytics — no advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling.

Who sees what

Your listing is public to other members. Your real name is shared with a swap partner only after both sides accept. Identity verification is shared back to you only — partners see a verified badge, not your documents.

Your rights

Export, edit, or delete your data from /account at any time. Under GDPR you can also email privacy@swapl.fun for a portable copy or a full erasure. We action requests within 30 days.
